Introduction

The MFL department provides students with the opportunity to develop their linguistic capabilities as well as developing an understanding of their own language through comparisons. Students will develop their cultural understanding of France and other francophone countries through the use of coursebooks and authentic materials. All students are taught how to learn specific language and grammatical structures which can be applied in different contexts throughout Key Stage 3 and beyond.

Mandarin at Duke’s

Year 7 students can choose to study Mandarin as an extracurricular activity if they wish.
