Aim for Success

Aim for Success runs every week:

  • Monday: Maths

  • Tuesday: Science

  • Wednesday: English

Time: 3:05pm – 3:50pm (45 minutes)

Why is Aim for Success important?

Regular retrieval practice and exam preparation are proven to improve long-term memory, increase confidence, and help students perform at their best in assessments and exams. By revisiting key concepts and practising exam techniques little and often, students are better prepared for future learning and final examinations.

During these sessions, students will:

  • Reinforce and consolidate key knowledge through retrieval practice.

  • Develop effective exam techniques using exam-style questions.

  • Build confidence by becoming familiar with mark schemes and course content.

  • Take part in activities such as open-book past paper questions and guided “walking talking” mocks.

The focus is on learning, practice, and progress—not formal assessments—giving every student the opportunity to build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
