Introduction

The values embedded through all our work with children and young people reflect those of the Arts Council’s Quality principles: excellence, being authentic, being exciting, inspiring and engaging, ensuring a child-centered experience, actively involving children and young people, providing a sense of personal progression and developing a sense of ownership and belonging.

Duke’s Art believes in the power of contemporary art to provide alternative lenses with which to view the world as evidenced through the range of artists and disciplines studied across the curriculum. We actively promote visual literacy skills; the ability to interpret, negotiate and make meaning from visually presented information.
