Congratulations Year 11 Class of 2026!
We are exceptionally proud to celebrate the achievements of our Class of 2026 as they received their GCSE and BTEC results on 20th August. The atmosphere across the school was incredibly calm, full to the brim with proud smiles and relief among students, families and staff.
Students walked the red carpet to capture lasting memories of a day that highlights years of dedication, resilience and personal growth. This cohort has had an incredible journey at Duke’s and they have been an absolute pleasure to teach and get to know as individuals over the years.
While every individual student deserves recognition for their hard work, here is a spotlight on a few of our students and their chosen next steps:
- Ellie: Progressing to NE6 to study Art, History, and Law.
- Oliver: Moving on to Jesmond Park Academy Sixth Form to study Mandarin, French, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics.
- Esme: Attending Seaton Valley Sixth Form to study History and Psychology.
- Josh: Securing an Apprenticeship at Draeger as a Gas Technical Engineer.
- Christopher: Heading to NE6 to pursue Mathematics, Geography, and Art.
- Emily: Enlisting to serve in the Royal Air Force (RAF).
- Leah: Beginning her career as a Healthcare Support Worker with the NHS.
Whether our students are continuing into sixth form studies, embarking on vocational apprenticeships, entering direct employment or taking specialised training paths, we wish them the very best for their bright futures.
We’re so proud of you all, Class of 2026!
