We believe that in order for our students to leave us fully prepared to take their places as confident and positive members of society, it is important to support them in understanding as many of the different aspects of society that they will experience as members of British society.  In 2016-2017 our students took part in:

  • Weekly act of collective worship
  • Topical assemblies (Including: The U.S Election; Antibiotic Resistance; The UK Election System)
  • Drugs Awareness conference
  • Ethics conference
  • Mental health conference
  • General election hustings
  • God and the Big Bang debate
  • Brexit debate
  • Weekly tutor group ‘in the news this week ‘quiz


We also hold a weekly guest speaker programme which during 2016-17 has included:
